Kardia Health Systems is a healthcare information technology firm, dedicated to applying the best technology from the Mayo Clinic and other leading institutions, to revolutionize the delivery of specialty medicine, starting with cardiology. Using Internet technology and a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business model, Kardia makes world-class, expert technology affordable and relevant to practices of all sizes.

The Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research owns equity in Kardia and receives royalties on products sold or licensed by Kardia.

Management

George Danko - President
Mr. Danko has been President of Kardia Health Systems since July 2008. As chairman and CEO of Springworks, LLC, an investment company focused on discovering and nurturing emerging technologies, Mr. Danko was responsible for the development and implementation of strategic and tactical business development plans. Previously, he was a senior vice president at Best Buy, leading the company’s consumer electronics and appliance businesses. He has extensive acquisition experience from his time at industrial manufacturing company Pentair, where he was the business leader for two of the operating groups and completed more than seven strategic business acquisitions throughout the world.

Doug Marinaro – Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Marinaro has been COO of Kardia Health Systems since April 2009. Mr. Marinaro is a software executive with 20 years of experience successfully defining and launching new software products, platforms and businesses in SaaS, mobile, business and healthcare software. Prior to Kardia, Mr. Marinaro led strategy, product, and channel marketing as senior vice president at mobile SaaS application startup Gearworks. Previously, Mr. Marinaro ran Software and Services as VP/GM at global test and measurement leader MTS Systems, led marketing and strategy as VP at SaaS startup Toolwire, and held various management and engineering roles at MSC Software, Alcoa, Apple and Memorex.

Douglas Roach – Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Mr. Douglas Roach is Vice President, Sales and Marketing, at Kardia Health Systems. Mr. Roach is a software executive with 20 years of commercial experience building and leading software sales and product teams in both public and privately-held growth companies. Mr. Roach brings strong business acumen with international and domestic P&L responsibilities. Prior to Kardia, Mr. Roach held numerous leadership roles including VP of Sales and Marketing, VP of Marketing and Product Management as well as other management and engineering roles at VI Engineering, nCode International, MTS Systems, MSC Software and General Dynamics. Additionally, Mr. Roach was co-founder and President of Premier Diagnostics, Inc., a Michigan based medical diagnostic services provider.
